FAITH MUST ACT
Scripture: James 2:26
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Faith does not end with believing what God says. It goes beyond that. Faith requires us to believe and act in agreement with what we believe.
For example, you can believe that a chair can carry your weight when you sit on it but until you sit on it you will not experience that it can do.
Many people believe that God can supply their needs but when they have real needs they panic and act very frustrated. Faith does not end with believing God; it requires that we act in ways that correspond with what we believe.
In the ministry of Jesus, He got people to act out what they believed. When He declared that they were healed, He also charged them to act out their healing; they had to carry their bed, rise up or walk to a pool.
Jesus did all of these so that the process of healing that had started with those individuals could be completed. If He left those people at the belief level, they would have remained in their condition, even though His power had been released to heal them.
Many a time the delay we have in our miracles is due to the fact that after the power of God is released, we just sit without any action. Some feel that if God has done it then it should happen.
Well, that is not how God operates. Evidence in the Bible shows that after God had commanded, people had to take a step and act in agreement with what God had said. Faith without corresponding action is ineffective. If you really believe what God says then let your actions speak.
Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I take a step of faith out of defeat into victory Scriptural Reading: James 2:14-26
