Scripture: Judges 2:16



Nevertheless, the LORD raised up judges who delivered them out of the hand of those who plundered them.

God has His people everywhere. He has His people in high places and low places. He has His people even in the camp of those who seek your destruction. Whenever He needs them, He prompts them to do what He wants them to do. He uses people to help us.

Sometimes when we are faced with formidable opposition, we tend to feel surrounded on all sides. It appears as if everywhere we turn there are people who want to do us harm.

Israel felt that way sometimes. On several occasions, their enemies would come in to take the products of their land from them. They work so hard and then when it is time to enjoy the fruits of their labour, very powerful enemies come in to dispossess them of their hard earned reward. The Bible calls such enemies plunderers.

With Israel surrounded on all sides by plunderers, they would call on the name of the Lord and ask for help. Then God would raise help for them in the form of judges who came in as deliverers. The judges would then lead them into battle and secure their property for them.

God has His people everywhere. If He needs to raise judges for deliver you, He will; If He needs to raise people with political clout to defend you against unjust treatment, He will. If He needs to raise a taxi driver to protect you, He will.

When it comes to defending His own, the Lord has enormous capacity that that can be deployed on their behalf. Don’t panic. He will get you.
