RE: Is the Bible true?
There have been hundreds of books written on the subject of the evidences of the divine inspiration of the Bible, and these evidences are many and varied. Most people today, unfortunately, have not read any of these books. In fact, some even read the Bible itself!

The Word of God is true because God is truthful and not lie. The challenge for us is to understand the nature of inspiration and how God providentially guided certain people throughout history to preserve his word.
The Bible is true, accurate and reliable, but not because it demonstrates archeology or history check. Admittedly, by its very nature, as if it were written and inspired by God.

There really is not a single mention contemporary of Jesus anywhere in that area at that time. There is one that I know, but it has been contested by all known historians. Most contemporary mention of Jesus character has proved to be false.

RE: Is the Bible true?
Yes. The Word of God is true.

There are scientific reasons for believing such as have been written by several notable Creation Scientists. Morris for one. Lisle for another. There are many scientists who have written books, papers, etc regarding the evidences of Creation.

There are logical reasons for believing the Word of God is true. Evolution cannot explain origins. It can surmise, guess, hypothesize. It cannot prove. Of course, neither can we Christians prove origins. But logic demands that nothing can come from nothing. God's word claims how everything came to be and it is logical that indeed, how God created everything makes perfect sense.

Historic fact. Jesus. Jesus did live. He was witnessed by thousands. Even Josephus wrote of Jesus. History demands Jesus existed. Now, if Jesus existed, then either he was telling the truth or he was lying or he was unaware that he lied making him somewhat mad. Does Jesus seem like a mad man or liar? Does his life, in any way, suggest he was anything but truthful?

Creation. Nature. Everything around us and even us proclaim the marvelous genius that made everything. God says he is known to all by what is created. That we know of the invisible by the visible.

My personal conversion to the knowledge of God. It was miraculous. Impossible. Swift. And completely life changing immediately.

Faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Common Sense. Is there a universal morality? Do we sin?

It would be like this. The Bible is true, accurate and reliable, but not because it demonstrates archeology or history check. Admittedly, by its very nature, as if it were written and inspired by God. I believe it is always true.
