Try a pecs card. Try a toilet training schedule where he sits on it for 30 seconds every 2 hours while awake. Ignore accidents, praise him like crazy for sitting on the potty. If he is too anxious to sit, praise him to stand at the potty, or at the bathroom door. Then when he has one thing mastered, no longer praise for that till he gets closer to the goal of sitting for 30 seconds.
